I'm going to head to the beginners night this Tuesday as I missed my weekly poker fix on Sunday.
My mate Shane is coming along too.
Everyone else is welcome for the £5 re-buy madness!
Cheers,

Didn't make it along to Gutshot in the end.
Instead, my mate Shane invited me to a game in Clapham that he found of the following internet site
http://poker.meetup.com/89/calendar/5155203/
It's basically a site where people post details of forthcoming poker matches.
The venue was a typical club, but the back room contained 3 big professionsal poker tables.
The guy that organsed the even had the same software that Gutshot uses, which he had hooked up to his laptop.
It all seemed quite simple - He typed in everyone's name, then it generated a random seat number.
This was a really enjoyable night. £10 with no rebuys, and the top 4 positions pay out (£150, £75, can't remember & £25) Not bad for 30 players.
I did absolutely appalingly, but had a lot of fun.
Will definaltely be back at the next one on Wednesday 18th Oct.
Be good to see some other Poker Queens there.
There's no need to book. You just turn up for the game at 20:00.
Better still, they stop the clock at 23:45 and do a chip count, so everone can leave in time for the last tube. _________________ "Look into my eyes, look into my eyes..." |

do you mean that the winner is decided by who has the most chips at 1145? |

Well, I went out waaaaaay before the final tabe, so didn't hang around to see how the match played out, but i'd assume that's what they do.
A chip count at 23:45, and whoever has the biggest stack wins.
How else could they determine the top 4? _________________ "Look into my eyes, look into my eyes..." |

guess it would make a different finishing strategy.
i take it you didn't know how many were left at 11.45 then? |

I don't know how many were still playing till the end.
I'll be heading back to this place though, so will ask what happens.
The blinds set at 3X20 minute levels then 15 minute levels until end.
That should speed up the limpers departure. _________________ "Look into my eyes, look into my eyes..." |
