Last night's results are now up.

A small but perfectly formed game with possibly the hand of the entire league.

Hand 3 of the game

Mark gets dealt two red aces - All in
Maria calls with two black aces

Split pot looking almost certain until...

The 4th spade hits on the river giving Maria the flush and knocking Mark out.

And they say things like that only happen online.

Just looked up the odds on this.

Each player has a 2.3% chance of making a flush and therefore also 2.3% chance of losing.

Split pot therefore 95.4%

I figured a flush is about a 3% probability.. anyway it was an opportunity to come from behind (in the league) ... Cool

You think that was bad have a look at the Jeniffer Harman hand here!

The second Sam Farha one is pretty cool too as it was the first hand in last years WSOP main event!

Don't let the loud music put you off, they are worth watching.

i feel sooo much better now... !! at least i didn't go out in the.. er.. first hand (though that mite have happened the other week LOL)

yeah... i still think a 2.3% chance of losing AA vs AA is a bad beat...

That's the second week in a row Maria 'the killer' Bates has knocked someone holding a pair of Aces out!

(though admitidly, this one was pretty special)

Wow - Shame I missed this one. I'm sure it'll get talked about for years to come!

Is it possible to add an extra column of info in the league positions table to indicate the number of games played per each person?

Maybe just have this number in brackets after each persons name?

I think this would be beneficial to midtable players like myself, Dave, Lisa & Chris VS, as we're obviously not in contention to win the league, but it'll still provide a bit of competitive incentive to beat players on a similar number of games.

eg

Dave is 2 points ahead of me in the league, despite the fact that i've played 1 game more than him. Therefore, he's a better player than me, and I should be aiming to score higher than him in the last 2 games to try to even things out.

or

Lisa is 10 points ahead of me in the league, and has played 2 games more than me, so I should be aiming for at least 5 points in my next 2 games to even the balance.

The current table is up. Should be a very exciting last game.

I've also added another row in the game history showing the number of games played, as requested.

There seems to be an error in my points total at the bottom of my table?

Congratulations to Maria on getting her first piece of poker silver-ware!

I'll get the final league thingy up as soon as possible.

I'll try and get the trophy organised as it seems that everyone was fairly happy with the cost ...

Oh, and congratulations again Maria!

Give me a shout when you've got the final league table, Anton, and then if someone wants to summarise all the possible options for scoring next time, I'd be happy to work this out on the finished league so people can see what the effect would be for next time.
