I'm thinking of buying one of those digital clocks which display a countdown clock as well as current blind levels for the poker queens.

Despite us playing for almost 2 years now, I still don't know the blind structure off by heart (well, ok, if I sat down and though about it, I could probably manage a good attempt).

What do others think?

Would it be welcomed, or an unnecessary distraction?

I've seen this one used it a pub game before, and I thought it was quite useful:

I've got one.
Will bring it down at the next Poker Queen evening.

Just so everyone is aware, this is the custom blind structure i've setup on the poker clock.
(to select the custom blind structure, you have to hold down the green button (I think) when powering up the clock - it should display CUST):

Start Time Blinds
19:00 10/20
19:20 15/30
19:40 25/50
20:00 50/100
20:20 75/150
20:40 100/200
21:00 BREAK
21:10 150/300
21:25 200/400
21:40 300/600
21:55 400/800
22:10 600/1200
22:25 1000/2000
22:40 1500/3000

This structure was designed to have us finished before 22:30 on a Sunday, and in both instances where we've used the clock, this has happened (the first game finished around 22:00 where Maria & Anton decided to split the pot rather than square up in a head to head, and the second game we played Omaha, which I think ended around 22:15??)

The only major difference to the blinds we used to play is that we've removed the 20/40 blind level. This does mean that if you haven't won a hand within the first hour, you're likely to be short stacked and forced into an all in situation early on.

I'm open to changing the custom blind levels if we think it's not working right for us. Maybe be can even try an evening where we introduce Antes?
