Starting a new thread to discuss, poker rulings.

I know we like to keep the game informal, but there's a couple of things we've added to our game over the years to mimic what goes on in proper tournaments.

Things like, the ghost dealer - A concept we never used for the first couple of years play, but now have adopted into our game.

So, i'm bringing back my earlier poker ruling question:

You can't post the big blind twice, so what do you do in this scenario:

Down to 3 players - (1) Dealer, (2) Small Blind, (3) Big Blind

Dealer gets knocked out in this hand, and we go to head to head.

Problem:- when the dealer button moves to (2), he's small blind again, and unfortunately (3) posts the big blind twice in a row!

Solution (according to Joe Beevers, and I wouldn't argue with him)

When a player gets knocked out and you go from 3 players to heads up a player can never post the big blind twice in a row. If the player who just posted the BB was not the player who has been eliminated he will get the button and post the small blind.

That does make perfect sense and is good to know.

There are so many possible scenarios in poker that there are a lot of rules to know by heart. I tried to find a ruling for that dreadful error I made a couple of weeks ago when I shuffled the mucked cards into the deck in the middle of a hand but it seems like I'm the only person who has ever done that.
