He must have thought you hacked the computer!

That'll teach him to go all in on crummy cards.

Well done.

William Hill, which I use quite a lot at the moment.

Nice clean interface and a decent standard of game. Not quite as many all-in idiots as Party. And if you win you can print out as voucher, take it to your local bookie's and cash out in cash any amount over a tenner.

It says your game was at 3.44am, your post at 10.49am .... Were you playing all night and into the morning !!

I mite look into UK poker sites, cos the $ £ conversion can sting you - ie i deposited $100 , about £60, when i cashed it out again i got about £55 back. That said, playing between about 2am and 10am gets you the drunk americans!

LOL. No I went to bed after that game and posted the next day. On reflection I probably shouldn't have woken Maria up to tell her about my Royal Flush. She wasn't as impressed as I had expected. Wink

I like William Hill now I've started on it. I'm only playing low level SNGs but doing ok there. The players seem reasonably sensible so good play can be rewarded. And it is very easy to get cash in and out of your account which is what attracted me to it.

Not as good as yours, but pretty good nonetheless... nobody to wake up to tell...!

Two big raises by myself and another opponent pre-flop, (all others folding), and i'm holding
Ace of Hearts Jack of Hearts

Flop is

Ace of Spades Queen of Diamonds 7 of Diamonds

I put in the rest of my chips, opponent calls showing

Queen of Spades Queen of Hearts

My first thought is oh bugger.

Turn card is

Ace of Diamonds

Still losing as he has the boat..

BUT the last card appears...

Shocked

Ace of Clubs

Wow. Looks pretty good to me. Never had quad aces. Queens have been my best on-line and have only had those fives live (which were worth waiting for).

If you want a really good bad beat story how about this from the WSOP. Reported by Barney Boatman on the Hendon Mob site.

Barney wrote:

The player in question had been dealt aces and was feigning disinterest in his cards by turning away and chatting to a friend on the rail. He turned back and, seeing that there had been a raise in front of him said 'Oh, is it on me?....Um,...I'm all-in'. He then looked back at his cards to discover that, due to a miss-deal, his aces had been replaced by seven three off suit. (I've had that dream but in my case the aces usually turn into a bowl of soup!)

Now, the original raiser had still to act and our hero gave him a little assistance in his decision by crying out 'Wait a minute, these are not my cards! Call the floor!' Two minutes later he was standing by the rail asking his friend if in retrospect there had been anything he had noticed whilst they were chatting which he felt might have been worth mentioning.

Hilarious!

And how about this for a pot. The biggest televised pot in history.

This is cash not tournament so they are real dollars!
