WRGPT16 will be taking signups shortly.

The World rec.gambling.poker Tournament is a play-by-email pretend-money no-limit hold'em tournament.

There were 1286 entrants last year. Lee Jones (yes that one) won the 94/95 one. I'm sure I've seen a few names from here on the lists, but maybe more of you might find it amusing.

But be warned:
Playing by email means you need net access every weekday if you're not going to get timed out and then blinded away.
Playing by email means a single hand can sometimes take up to a week to play! The whole thing takes almost a year to run!

in practice round now which is handy as i havent got the hang of it yet.

but i have got this guy at my table:
