Can I also suggest that in order to further speed up the games we enforce rule Rule 12 - Section 15 (Tournaments)...
"12. A player must be at the table by the time all players have their complete starting hands in order to have a live hand for that deal. (The dealer has been instructed to kill the hands of all absent players immediately after dealing each player a starting hand.)"
We have the only game I have ever played at where we wait for absent players to return to the table rather than fold their cards.
People can be away from the table for as long as they like but their hands should be folded and blinds taken if appropriate.

A proposition for a further rule change - in anticipation of a greater number of players:
Up to and including 7 players the first two get paid 70/30
8 or more and the first three 50/30/20
Any comments? |
