That does make perfect sense and is good to know. There are so many possible scenarios in poker that there are a lot of rules to know by heart. I tried to find a ruling for that dreadful error I made a couple of weeks ago when I shuffled the mucked cards into the deck in the middle of a hand but it seems like I'm the only person who has ever done that.
Post subject: Poker rulings
Starting a new thread to discuss, poker rulings.
I know we like to keep the game informal, but there's a couple of things we've added to our game over the years to mimic what goes on in proper tournaments.
Things like, the ghost dealer - A concept we never used for the first couple of years play, but now have adopted into our game.
So, i'm bringing back my earlier poker ruling question:
You can't post the big blind twice, so what do you do in this scenario:
Down to 3 players - (1) Dealer, (2) Small Blind, (3) Big Blind
Dealer gets knocked out in this hand, and we go to head to head.
Problem:- when the dealer button moves to (2), he's small blind again, and unfortunately (3) posts the big blind twice in a row!
Solution (according to Joe Beevers, and I wouldn't argue with him)
When a player gets knocked out and you go from 3 players to heads up a player can never post the big blind twice in a row. If the player who just posted the BB was not the player who has been eliminated he will get the button and post the small blind.
